New Cyberspace and Digital Policy Bureau at the US State Department

The US State Department established the new Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy as part of the reorganisation and modernisation of US diplomacy. The Bureau will be led by an ambassador-at-large.
The new Bureau, as its’ name indicates, will combine previously separate units for cybersecurity and other digital policies, including online human rights and emerging technologies.
In addition, a “policy ideas channel” at the US State Department will be a direct channel between American diplomats and State Department’s leadership for sharing ideas.
