Kenya’s UK High Commissioner Manoah Esipisu named Africa’s diplomat of the year

Manoah Esipisu, Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK, was named the 2024 Diplomat of the Year from Africa at the Diplomat of the Year Awards in London on Monday 22 April 2024. Hosted by DIPLOMAT magazine, these awards, now in their fourteenth year, honor the achievements of London’s diplomatic community.

Appointed in July 2018, Esipisu has significantly strengthened Kenya-UK relations in trade and investment. Reflecting on the past year, he highlighted key achievements including royal visits, enhanced bilateral trade, climate-smart projects, job creation in UK agriculture, and strengthened health, education, security, and defense partnerships. He credited his staff at the Kenya High Commission in London for their support in achieving these successes.
