China’s progress in people-to-people diplomacy explored by MUNENE

As a prominent participant in soft power diplomacy on the global stage, China has consistently advocated for people-to-people diplomacy, aiming to enhance global interconnections among civilizations. This commitment is evident in various initiatives, including the expansion of educational and research opportunities, the sharing of knowledge and ideas, the development of human resources, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the promotion of tourism.

In Kenya, since the establishment of its embassy in Nairobi on December 14, 1963, and the subsequent appointment of its first ambassador on February 5, 1964, China has actively promoted people-to-people diplomacy. This effort has significantly contributed to the creation of an empowered and harmonious society in Kenya.
