African diplomacy and the Ukraine conflict

16 African countries abstained from the UN vote to condemn Russia -mainly driven by possible consequences on diplomacy, aid, and assistance.  Senegal, for example, is developing renewable energy and offshore gas deposits looking for support from either side of the diplomatic divide.
