Presidents of Malta and Switzerland hail DiploFoundation as leader in capacity development

DiploFoundation has been hailed as a ‘leading capacity development provider in the field of international policy and diplomacy’ by the President of Malta, H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

The speech was delivered in Valletta, Malta, on 9 September by the President on the occasion the state visit to Malta of the President of the Swiss Confederation H.E. Johann N. Schneider-Ammann.

Referring to Diplo’s specialisations in the fields of e-diplomacy, Internet governance, and training programmes for small and developing countries, President Coleiro Preca said that Diplo is an important joint project between the two countries, which enjoyed a strong and enduring partnership.

President Schneider-Ammann also had words of praise for Diplo’s work. Expressing continued support for Diplo, he explained: ‘The fruitful cooperation between our countries has also allowed the creation of DiploFoundation, an important electronic diplomacy platform for higher education.’
