Virginia Callau Vidal is an international cooperation technician at the Spanish Red Cross in Teruel, where she manages the Sustainable Development Goals Program.
Virginia’s commitment to humanitarian work dates back to her 18 years of service in the Spanish Army as a military civilian cooperation liaison officer in Bosnia, Lebanon, and Afghanistan. This experience has provided her with invaluable insight into the role of humanitarian diplomacy in conflict situations, within the framework of fulfilling the humanitarian imperative.
She holds a postgraduate degree in Humanitarian Action from Universitat Oberta of Catalunya (Spain) and a master’s degree in International Cooperation and Development from the University of Valencia (Spain).
