Francis Sitati

Mr. Francis Sitati is a technology professional with over 10 years’ experience in the field of ICTs, cyber security and digital forensics. He has a background in information technology and information security. He is currently serving as a Senior Officer in charge of Cyber Security Information, Advocacy & Partnerships at the Communications Authority of Kenya, that also hosts the Kenya Computer Incident Response Team – Coordination Centre (National KE-CIRT/CC). Mr. Sitati currently chairs Working Party 3 (WP3) on Cybersecurity of the Working Group 3 (WG3) under the auspices of the East African Communications Organisation (EACO).

Mr. Sitati is well versed in diverse thematic areas such as big data and analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), implementation of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), ethical hacking, amongst others.

He is passionate about mentorship through empowering young professionals to adopt innovative strategies to address the diverse challenges occasioned by the ever-evolving cyber security threats.

Mr. Sitati is an active member of various professional bodies including Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIAK), ISACA-Kenya, Kenya Cyber Security & Forensics Association (KCSFA) and the Internet Society.
