Claudia Taboada

Director, Science, Technology and Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dominican Republic

Ms Claudia Taboada currently serves as director of Science, Technology and Environment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Dominican Republic, making her the first young woman to hold this position. She has training in international cooperation and science, and has graduated Veterinary Medicine and studied Law. Taboada also has a master’s degree in International Cooperation Projects and a master’s in Diplomacy and Consular Service. She has over eight years of experience in multilateral affairs, and over a decade in youth engagement and empowerment. In her free time she is an active member of her community, spearheading initiatives that engage youth with the sustainable development goals, climate action, and peace.
