Lunch dialogue: Digitalisation and international law
Panels and conferences Cyberconflict and warfare, Cybernorms EventsA lunch dialogue on Digitalisation and international law will be held on April 16th at the Geneva Internet Platform. The focus will be on how digitalization is influencing public international law and how challenges in this area can be addressed by international law and lawyers. Topics will include the application of existing international law to cyberspace, the need for new rules in areas like Artificial Intelligence, and the impact of digital developments on diplomatic law. Moderated by Prof. Jovan Kurbalija and Mr. Roland Portmann, the dialogue will operate under the Chatham House Rule, with a networking lunch at 12:30 and discussions from 13:00 to 14:30.

Topics included security in cyberspace, Internet jurisdiction, cybercrime investigations, responsible state behavior, and cyber treaties. The workshop provided insights from Diplo's experience and was a platform for capacity building within the diplomatic community in Ethiopia.
