The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Badan Ekonomi Kreatif, Pulse Lab Jakarta, and DiploFoundation are co-organising the ‘Regional conference on digital diplomacy – Digital diplomacy: Challenges and opportunities’ taking place on 10-11 September 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The conference aims to serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences, and to encourage co-operation in the field of digital diplomacy between countries in the region, by facilitating discussions as follows:

How digital diplomacy has been implemented in the region

Sharing of knowledge and experiences in using digital technologies as an instrument to conduct diplomacy by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Discussion between experts and government representatives about the challenges, opportunities, and the future of digital diplomacy, including the effective use of the instrument thus far

Government representatives, the private sector, civil society, and practitioners to explore possible collaboration and mutual support in regional co-operation in order to develop a tangible target in digital diplomacy
The conference will also introduce opportunities for digital co-operation within the private sector and enable the participants to utilise digital assets as subjects in digital diplomacy.
