Mediation, Conflict Prevention and Resolution in the Emerging Paradigm

The international conference Mediation, Conflict Prevention and Resolution in the Emerging Paradigm is being organised by Conflux Center, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, DiploFoundation, and the Faculty of Media and Communication at Singidunum University.

The conference will bring together renowned academics, practitioners, and decision-makers to present views and exchange insights on mediation as an essential tool in addressing new challenges and threats to world peace and security.

The aim is to examine ways of bringing culture and intercultural dialogue into mainstream mediation, to address new challenges in conflict prevention and resolution brought about by advances in information and digital technologies and changes in the media landscape, as well as to look at the comparative strengths and effectiveness of various mediation actors.

H.E. Mr Ivica Dačić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, will open the conference.

Panel moderators include:

Mr Ivan Mrkic, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Mr Julian Harston, UN Assistant Secretary-General (Ret.), and Ambassador Milos Strugar, UN Senior Mediation Adviser.
