31 October 2016 - 02 November 2016

Prague, Czech Republic

[Update] DiploFoundation’s Dr Tereza Horejsova is participating at the General Assembly. Diplo is a partner member of the MAPPING consortium.

The second General Assembly of the Managing Alternatives for Privacy, Property and Internet Governance (MAPPING) project will take place on 31 October – 2 November 2016, in Prague, Czech Republic.

The assembly will be held under the overarching theme ‘Online business, security and fundamental human rights – enabling trust on the Internet’. It will bring together invited stakeholders interested in debating the existing innovation policies, business models, and legal framework related to three major, interrelated focus areas: Internet governance, privacy, and intellectual property rights. It will feature discussions with key experts and policy and decision makers who are involved in research and innovation in the above mentioned areas within Europe’s political, social, and economic context.

MAPPING is a project co-financed by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission. Its goal is to create an all-round and common understanding of the many and varied economic, social, legal, and ethical aspects of the recent developments on the Internet, and their consequences for the individual and society at large.
