Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution in the Internet Era: Governance and Good Practices is the theme of a discussion organised by the University of Geneva, the Geneva Internet Platform, and the Geneva Center for International Dispute Settlements, on 17-18 June 2015. The event will discuss the current issues in jurisdiction and dispute resolution related to the Internet, and will take place during the Internet L@w Summer School organised by the University of Geneva.
This two day event, organised by the University of Geneva in cooperation with the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP) and the Geneva Center for International Dispute Settlement (CIDS), will discuss current issues about jurisdiction and dispute resolution mechanisms related to the Internet and to Information and Telecommunication Technologies (ICT).

The topics which will be addressed and discussed by experts coming from various sectors and industries are:
- Conflict of laws / private international law in the Internet era: which courts shall decide Internet-related disputes?
- What alternative resolution systems for Internet-related disputes today and tomorrow?
- What mechanisms should be used for solving disputes in the ICT industries? The case of the licensing of Standard Essential Patents (SEP) under Fair, Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) terms.
- How shall jurisdictional immunity and inviolability apply in the Internet Era?
