14 August 2017 - 16 August 2017

Brasilia, Brazil

The Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with DiploFoundation, is organising a regional workshop, hosted by the National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil, in Brasilia, from 14 to 16 August 2017.

The objective of the workshop is to strengthen capacities of the ITU membership in the field of international Internet governance. It follows a mapping study produced by Diplo to the ITU on capacity building initiatives and gaps that need to be filled. This workshop is the first in a series of regional Internet governance capacity development events that the ITU will organise in collaboration with other stakeholders.

Digital Policy Senior Researcher at DiploFoundation, Ms Marilia Maciel, will deliver two presentations, on ‘Introduction to Internet Governance’ and ‘Digital Business Models for Economic Growth and Development’.
