The Geneva Internet Conference (GIC), a GIP event held in November 2014, was attended by about 250 participants. GIC addressed critical issues, gaps, and future developments in Internet governance and digital politics. The conference provided a neutral and inclusive space for debates as it paved the way to 2015, building on the main events and developments in 2014, including announcement of the transition of the IANA stewardship, NETmundial, and the Internet Governance Forum. It produced an outcome document ‘Strengthening Internet Governance: the message from the Geneva Internet Conference’.
