Diplomatic staff briefing on Internet governance and digital policy

20 September 2016 -

Geneva, Switzerland

Have you recently moved to Geneva, and are you looking for ways to discuss digital policy effectively? Or are you a newcomer to international policy discussions with digital elements, such as e-commerce, human rights, telecommunications, and many others?

More than half of Internet governance issues are addressed in Geneva, from cybersecurity, to intellectual property and from child safety to human rights. To become optimally prepared for the upcoming digital policy discussions, the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP) and DiploFoundation would like to invite you to a briefing on Internet governance and digital policy.

The briefing will be held on 20 September 2016, from 13:00 to 14:00 CET, at the World Meteorological Organization building in Geneva, Switzerland.

The briefing will:

  • provide an overview of the main Internet-related issues discussed in Geneva;
  • outline the relevant upcoming events; and
  • introduce key resources for the diplomatic community for discussing digital policy.
