Diplo at State of the Net Conference

Diplo will participate in the 14th Annual State of the Net Conference, to be held on 29 January 2018, in Washington D.C., USA. Dr Jovan Kurbalija, Director of DiploFoundation and Head of the Geneva Internet Platform, will participate in the panel Internet Governance: Are We In A Post Multi-Stakeholder World? at 11am local time (4pm UTC / 5pm CET).

The 14th Annual State of the Net Conference will be held on 29 January 2018, in Washington D.C., USA. The event will be hosted by the Internet Education Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to educating the public and policymakers about the potential of a decentralised global Internet to promote communications, commerce, and democracy. 

State of the Net will explore a range of policy isues facing the Internet today, such as digital inclusion, freedom of expression, trust, broadband, innovation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Panels included in the programme of the event will focus the folllowing topics: Internet expression – truth, trust, transparency, and tribalism, The fragmentation of communications policy, The witches’ brew of cybersecurity – beyond money and mischief, Internet governance – are we in a post multistakeholder world, and Authentication in post-equifax world – blockchain beyond bitcoin. 

State of the Net annual events attract over 600 attendees interested in the opportunity to network and engage on key digital policy issues.
