The second annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum will be held in
Rio de Janeiro, November 12-15. Diplo will be represented in Rio by 12
staff members and associates, including 6 of the most successful
participants from the 2007 Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme.
Diplo will host two panels within the Best Practices Forum: “IG Capacity
Building Programme: A Model for Regional Training,” in cooperation with
ISOC Venezuela; and “ICT and Security Challenges – A selection of Case
studies,” in cooperation with ISOC, CMB Training Centre, Privaterra and the
University of Sussex. Diplo representatives will also take an active role
in other events and panels, including the pre-summit GigaNet meeting.
