A four‐week face‐to‐face course on the fundamentals of computer science – ‘How Computers Really Work: Outsmart your smartphone!‘ – was organised by Diplo and the GIP in November 2016. The course provided participants with an in‐depth practical understanding of the key concepts that enabled the development of computers and that are behind the digital devices we use today (including smart phones and various connected devices).
