The first edition of the Balkan School on Internet Governance (BSIG) is organised by the Center for Internet governance and the Centre for Law and Independent Media. It is funded by the Council of Europe, and has the support of the DiploFoundation, EURid, Internet Society and Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Center (RIPE NCC).
BSIG, which will bring together multiple stakeholder groups, aims to raise awareness on Internet governance (IG) topics through the creation of a supportive learning environment between peers and international experts. The school will also map priorities identified through bottom-up consultations, and empower participants to engage in IG processes in the long run.
