DiploKnowledge – Second International Conference on Knowledge and Diplomacy (11-13 February 2000)

Preparations for the Second International Conference on Knowledge and Diplomacy (11-13 February 2000) are progressing well. For more information visit the conference website and updated program.


Conference highlights: The session on knowledge management for international organisations will include several presentations on approaches, techniques and implementation of knowledge management projects for international organisations. Mr. Guido Maccari of the OECD will address the question of knowledge management in the OECD.

Diplomatic Negotiation Techniques Workshop for Practicioners – University of Leicester

The Centre for the Study of Diplomacy at the University of Leicester offers a two-day simulation workshop on Diplomatic Negotiation Techniques for members of the London diplomatic corps and representatives from foreign ministries. The workshop will be run by Paul Meerts of the Netherlands Institute of International Relations 'Clingendael', who has experience as a diplomatic trainer in more than 60 countries. Raymond Cohen, author of *Negotiating Across Cultures* and professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, will open the workshop with a lecture and discussion on International Negotiation and Culture.
