Graduation of 2007 Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme Participants in Second Life
In the current DiploFoundation Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme, this year’s group of 120 participants from 90 developing countries have completed their sixteen weeks of online training, bringing a total of 265 to our Internet Governance alumni community, built up over the last three years.
We will be commemorating this with a gathering in Second Life on the 4th of July.

Promotion of Diplo Books at the Indian Council of World Affairs
Two recent Diplo publications:
- Asian Diplomacy: The Foreign Ministries of China, India, Japan, Singapore and Thailand
- Foreign Ministries: Managing Diplomatic Networks and Optimizing Value
will be presented at the Indian Council of World Affairs, in the presence of foreign envoys, serving and retired Indian ambassadors, and other members of the Indian foreign affairs establishment. The Indian Foreign Secretary, Shiv Shankar Menon will preside over the function, taking place at Sapru House, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, 7 July 2007 at 18.00. Online Credit Courses at Diplo
The July application deadline is approaching rapidly for courses starting in September! Starting in September, you can take Diplo’s online courses for academic credit from the University of Malta. The credits may be applied later towards the Diplo MA/Postgraduate Diploma (PDG) in Contemporary Diplomacy.
If you are thinking of enrolling in the MA/Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy in 2008 or 2009, an online course in the Fall is an excellent way to get a head start:
- you can try out our courses before committing to the full programme;
- you can complete one or two courses before the programme begins, making your year as a PGD student less demanding;
- the University of Malta will screen and accept your application now, making the PGD application process quicker and easier.
