Stephanie Borg Psaila

Director of Digital Policy

Stephanie Borg Psaila is the Director for Digital Policy at DiploFoundation, and the lead coordinator of the EU-funded four-year project Civil Society Alliances for Digital Empowerment (CADE). She lectures on digital policy at DiploFoundation, and is the coordinator of the joint Master’s in Contemporary Diplomacy offered by the University of Malta and Diplo.

At Diplo, she served as Diplo’s Interim Director and Head of Geneva Internet Platform in 2018-2019, and as the editor of the GIP Digital Watch observatory in 2016-2020. She authored the Digital Watch weekly in 2022-2023.

Stephanie graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta, and holds a warrant to practice as a Notary Public in Malta. Her special areas of interest are legal issues in digital policy, including human rights in the digital age (with a special focus on children’s rights) and competition/antitrust.
