Alumni Internet governance and digital policy EventsThe Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme for 2011 is open for applications. It offers beginner and advanced knowledge on Internet governance issues with various thematic areas. The programme consists of four phases, including courses on policy development, national/regional strategic plans, policy research, and a policy immersion phase. Professionals dealing with Internet-related issues can apply for one of the 60 available spots. Scholarships are available for applicants from developing countries. Workshop: IG training workshop and scholarship award in Abuja, Nigeria
Alumni Training and workshops Internet governance and digital policy, Interdisciplinary approaches EventsDiplo hosted an Internet governance training workshop and awarded a scholarship in Abuja, Nigeria, as part of the 5th African Conference on Free and Open Source Software. Over 300 participants from various countries took part in the conference, which focused on Open Source Solutions for achieving the Millennium Development Goals. Diplo also presented the Africa IGF Community Award during the event. Various workshops on different topics were held during the conference, and multiple awards were given out, including a scholarship for the Internet Governance Capacity Building Course.

Launch: New Geneva Digital Atlas (Geneva and online)

It aims to increase awareness of the digital scene, encourage collaboration among stakeholders, and enhance understanding of various aspects of digital policy such as standardization, data protection, security, and human rights. Additionally, DiploFoundation and the Geneva Internet Platform will introduce 14 new projects in September and October, focusing on digital policy, diplomacy, cybersecurity, and more.
