Alumni Courses Consular and diaspora diplomacy, Development diplomacy, Economic diplomacy, Language (and) diplomacy, Network security EventsThe Language and Diplomacy course offered by Diplo covers essential skills for diplomats like negotiating and public speaking. The course supported by the government of Malta provides partial scholarships for applicants from developing countries to attend online courses in 2018. The deadline for applications is September 3, 2018. The course requires around seven to ten hours per week for ten weeks of part-time study. Dr. Jovan Kurbalija will discuss Internet governance in Geneva, Switzerland. The program includes hands-on experience, workshops, and discussions on cyber law, policy issues, security, privacy, and more. A cybersecurity conference focusing on liability in cyber-attacks is also planned. Attendees can obtain a certificate upon completion, with an option to be granted 6 credits. Building (diplomatic) bridges by teaching literature
Alumni Contemporary diplomacy, Cultural diversity, Diplomatic theory and practice, Language (and) diplomacy BlogsDr. Atef Ahmed emphasizes the importance of using literature, especially works by authors like Naguib Mahfouz and Laura Z. Hobson, to foster cultural understanding between Arabs and Jews. He believes that by incorporating discussions on cultural, racial, gender, and religious differences into education, teachers can help students develop empathy and critical thinking skills.
