Aldo Matteucci, Diplo’s resident contrarian, wrote three thought-provoking texts on management and planning.

In the first text, Is outcome a good measure of performance?, Aldo questions narratives developed around outcomes. Very often the reason for the success is luck or coincidence, unrelated to performance.

In the second text, Putting planning on its head, Aldo explains the limits of planning by using a theory from psychics.

In the third text, Predicting – does it pay to develop sophisticated methods?, Aldo provides a few practical insights about how we can predict and plan.
