NEW: Accredited Master’s degree with a specialisation in Internet governance

Starting with the 2013 programme, you can study Internet governance (IG) as a specialisation area of the Master/Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy, offered by DiploFoundation in collaboration with the University of Malta.
The online programme is flexible: you design your study programme by deciding on the Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s degree, and by selecting study topics from our wide range of courses, which includes Internet governance, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Critical Internet Resources, Bilateral Diplomacy, Multilateral Diplomacy, eDiplomacy, and more.
The programme consists of a 10-day residential workshop in Malta, followed by 16 to 20 months of online learning on DiploFoundation’s new e-learning platform. Course work involves reading and discussing lecture texts with course lecturers and fellow participants, completing learning activities and assignments, and joining online meetings. You will attend three or four required courses in IG-related topics and choose your remaining courses from our wide range of diplomacy topics. You will then write a Master’s dissertation on an IG-related topic, with the guidance of a member of the faculty.
Candidates who successfully complete the Internet governance specialisation will receive a degree/diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy awarded by the University of Malta. Internet governance courses attended – as well as other courses – will be listed in the detailed transcript issued on completion of the programme.
The Master/Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy has European postgraduate accreditation through the Faculty of Arts at the University of Malta, making it recognised worldwide.
Applications are now open for the next programme, which begins on 30 January 2013. The application deadline is 30 September, 2012.
