Geneva Engage Awards to recognise outstanding efforts in social media engagement
Updated on 05 April 2024
The annual Geneva Engage Awards recognise the efforts in social media outreach by various actors in International Geneva. The awards are part of the Geneva Engage initiative, aimed at fostering effective links between International Geneva and communities worldwide that are affected by the policies discussed and negotiated in Geneva.
The three categories for the Geneva Engage Awards are: (a) International Organisations, (b) Non-Governmental Organisations and Non-Profits, and (c) Permanent Missions. The selection for the award is based on DiploFoundation’s analysis on the innovative and effective use of social media.
This year’s Awards Ceremony, on Wednesday, 8 February, will honour one winner from each category for the best social media outreach and engagement in 2016. Shortlisted actors, in each category:
- International Organisations: CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), the International Committee of the Red Cross, the World Health Organization, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the United Nations Office in Geneva
