The Oxford University Diplomatic Studies Programme (DSP), formerly the Foreign Service Programme (FSP), is a prestigious and comprehensive one-year, full-time Master’s degree program designed for professionals. It provides the knowledge and skills to engage in diplomacy in a complex, interdependent world.

The Master of Studies (MSt) in Diplomatic Studies is not just a theoretical program. It consists of four taught courses that focus on Diplomatic Practice, International Politics, Public International Law, and International Trade and Finance. In addition, students are required to complete a supervised dissertation of up to 15,000 words on an approved course-related topic of personal interest, ensuring the practical application of their learning.

The program is delivered through a variety of engaging methods, including workshops and small group tutorials. As part of the diplomatic practice course, students have the unique opportunity to go on study visits to government departments, international organizations, and business and media institutions in the United Kingdom and Europe, enhancing their learning experience.
