The Instituto Diplomático is situated at Largo das Necessidades in Lisbon, Portugal and serves as the diplomatic academy of Portugal. It is responsible for training the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal and overseeing the ministry's library and historical diplomatic archives.
The Instituto Diplomático, part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MNE), organizes and promotes training activities, studies, conferences, and seminars. It comprises the Division of Archive and Library, the Training Center, and the Center for Studies and Strategic Analysis.
The institute publishes various materials, including the "Revista Negócios Estrangeiros".
