The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the Philippines is the leading institution responsible for training and research in foreign policy, diplomacy, and related fields.
The FSI designs and conducts training programs for Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) personnel and those from other government agencies assigned to Philippine foreign service posts abroad. These programs equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to represent the Philippines on the international stage effectively. Some examples include: pre-departure orientation seminars for diplomats and their families, language training programs, courses on international relations, negotiation, and protocol
The FSI is also a recognized centre for language learning, offering courses in various languages considered crucial for diplomacy. This helps Filipino diplomats communicate effectively with their counterparts from around the world.
