The Diplomatic Academy of Montenegro is a specialized institution established to train and develop diplomats and civil servants representing Montenegro's interests abroad. It operates as an organizational unit under Montenegro's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Academy was founded in 2003 as a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, and it was fully integrated within the Ministry by 2007.
The Academy strongly emphasizes continuous learning and skill development for its audience. Its programs cover a wide range of subjects, including international law, diplomatic practices, negotiation techniques, and protocol.
The Academy actively seeks international collaboration and exchanges best practices with similar institutions worldwide. It also hosts the "Gavro Vuković" Summer School for Young Diplomats, which attracts participants from various countries for discussions and learning opportunities related to modern diplomacy.
