The Alianza contra Piratería de Televisión Paga (Alianza) is a group of content providers, pay-TV broadcasters and technology providers aiming at combatting pay-TV piracy throughout Latin America.
The organisation's work is focused on the following areas: conducting investigations (regional and country-specific), engaging in public policy development processes, conducting anti-piracy public awareness campaigns, and undertaking technical countermeasures against pirate devices.
Alianza also pays attention to issues related to online piracy. In this regard, the organisation commissioned a report on online piracy in South America, which was published in January 2016.
