The African Network Operators Group (AfNOG) is a forum for cooperation and exchange of technical information between Internet network operators in Africa.

The aim of AfNOG is to build a community of engineers who support eachother in operating Internet infrastructure in Africa, as well as to facilitate discussions on issues related to the implementation of new networks that require community cooperation.

AfNOG holds annual meetings which bring together Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunications companies, vendors of information and communication technologies (ICT), network engineers, and government entities and regulatory agencies, for discussions on current and future needs of operators in the ICT industry. The group also carries capacity development activities, especially through its Workshop on Network Technology, which offers training to people who are in the process of developing and enhancing an Internet-connected network with regional and international connectivity.
