2008 Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme
Diplo’s fourth annual online Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme started on March 3. From 350 applicants, the programme selected 135 participants from over 65 primarily developing countries. Participants have been placed into nine regional groups, each tutored by a senior Diplo associate. In response to requests made by previous participants, four bilingual groups have also been put together: Arabic/English, French/English, Portuguese/English, and Spanish/English. This programme will improve Internet governance-related knowledge and skills for participants and will facilitate community-building among individuals with different national, cultural, and professional backgrounds.
