Ms. Ongalo is a Public/International Relations, Leader and Business Manager by training. She has over the years added to her knowledge feathers in Advocacy, Management, Customer Relations, Disaster Management, Marketing and Leadership acumens. She was instrumental in the setting up of the Secretariat/Administrative department at the Kenya Tourism Federation, as well as oversee the operations of the Safety and Communication Centre at KTF. Currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF) since 2015 to date) – the umbrella body for the private sector in tourism charged with advocacy for a conducive business environment for the tourism sector. She carries a wealth of work experience, with over 12 years in tourism and hospitality.

Additionally, Ms. Ongalo serves on a number of committees and boards in the tourism sector in Kenya and Africa. She has been a participant, presenter and panelist in various forums with a focus to tourism, travel and hospitality which include:

• Tourism Investment Forum Africa – April 2024.
• Africa Tourism Leadership Forum 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
• Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) – July 2023
• Kenya International Investment Conference 3^rd (KIICO) Conference – May 2023.
• Response to Covid-19 for African Tourism – December 2020.
• Ad Hoc Group Expert meeting (AEGM) – November 2020.

On overall, Ms. Ongalo is part of founding steering committee of the Africa Tourism Private Sector Alliance (ATPSA – the voice of tourism in Africa.
