Over the past year, we have devoted a large number of our tech attache briefings to keeping up with negotiations on the Global Digital Compact (GDC). Now that the GDC and the Pact for the Future have been adopted, it’s time to look ahead.
During our upcoming briefing on 10 October 2024, we will:
- Do a recap of what was agreed on in relation to digital governance and broader science and technology issues in the GDC and the Pact.
- Look at what is next in terms of implementation, including connections with other processes like the WSIS+20 review.
- Discuss the relevance for and (potential) role of Geneva in the implementation of GDC commitments and actions.
