Ana Revenco is the director of the newly created Moldovan Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation (CSCCD). She founded the NGO ‘La Strada’ in 2001 and promoted human rights in Moldova as its executive director for over 15 years. In 2021, she served as National Defense and Security Advisor to President Maia Sandu and was the Minister of Internal Affairs from 2021 to 2023. During her tenure, she initiated the EU Support Hub for Internal Security and Border Management, which placed actions against hybrid warfare on the internal affairs agenda. Since October 2023, as the head of CSCCD, Ana has been developing a Moldovan approach to countering disinformation that builds on the involvement of the whole society.
