Paolo Trichilo graduated in Political Science from Luiss University in 1987 and entered the diplomatic service in 1990. His career includes roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consul in Mulhouse, Commercial Counsellor in Ankara, and Deputy positions in New Delhi and at the OECD in Paris. He served as Ambassador to Slovenia (2016-2020) and is currently Ambassador to Croatia. Trichilo has also held advisory and directorial roles, authored numerous publications, and was appointed Knight Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2006.
