In October 2023, the UN Secretary-General convened a multistakeholder High-level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence to undertake analysis and advance recommendations for the international governance of AI. Following an interim report presented in December 2023 and a series of consultations and discussions, the AI Advisory Body (AIAB) will release draft recommendations over the summer of 2024.
Against this backdrop, the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology and DiploFoundation will host a presentation on 28 June 2024, to introduce the AIAB’s draft recommendations to Geneva’s AI and digital governance community.
Time: 10:00 – 11:30
Location: DiploFoundation | WMO building | 7bis Avenue de la Paix
The event will feature a presentation by Dr. Amandeep Singh Gill, UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology and member of the Advisory Body. The presentation will be followed by an open dialogue on the draft recommendations and (potential) next steps in global AI governance, moderated by Dr. Jovan Kurbalija, Executive Director of DiploFoundation.
The event is open to:
