Sparkle partners with Telecom Namibia to boost digital connectivity in Africa

Telecom Namibia, owned by the Namibian government, runs the country’s largest digital telecommunications network, serving over 619,000 customers with various services including voice, text, data, and video solutions.

In an exclusive agreement, Sparkle will provide Telecom Namibia with capacity services on the Equiano cable. This will offer a diversified, low-latency route between Africa and Europe, enhancing Namibia’s digital infrastructure and addressing the increasing data demand from neighboring countries. The partnership ensures a high-capacity, resilient network, reducing latency and maintaining service continuity even if the SAT-3 and WACS cables fail. The resulting high-speed connectivity will support digital transformation for businesses and government institutions, driving economic growth and advancing Namibia towards a knowledge-based economy.
