Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and DiploFoundation Forge Strategic Partnership

Kuwait City, Kuwait — 21 May 2024

His Excellency Ambassador Nasser S. Al-Sabeeh, Assistant Foreign Minister for Saud N. Al-Sabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute, and Dr Jovan Kurbalija, Director of DiploFoundation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to mark the partnership of the two institutions. This cooperation represents a significant step towards advancing capacity development frameworks and activities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait and DiploFoundation have formalised their strategic partnership following the first executive training in diplomatic negotiations and AI and diplomacy delivered for Kuwaiti diplomats in April this year.

The agreement outlines specific objectives, such as capacity development and knowledge sharing, aimed at enhancing the competencies of diplomats in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leveraging existing resources and facilities for mutual benefits. It underscores a shared commitment to education and building capacities in diplomacy and global digital issues policy discussions, specifically focusing on AI technology’s smart and responsible use in diplomatic and policy development practices.
