Youth Dialogue 2018: Diplomatic Kaleidoscope: A Reflection of Inclusivity

Geneva, Switzerland

The Junior Diplomat Initiative (JDI) Youth Dialogue is an annual conference organised by JDI Switzerland. The main aim of the event is to enable students interested in diplomacy to challenge their theoretical knowledge and enhance their practical skills through a comprehensive cross-generational dialogue with diplomats and other international relations experts.

Ambassador Olaph Terribile, Malta’s Permanent Representative to the UN and other International Organisations in Geneva, will deliver a workshop on ‘Diplomatic Immunities in the Digital Era’ on behalf of DiploFoundation. The session will discuss how the Internet has changed the context in which protocol is practiced and to what extent diplomats’ engagement on social media impacts upon their official posting in foreign countries.

The event will take place on 11 April at Maison de la Paix, Chemin Eugène-Rigot 21211, in Geneva, from 9:15 to 15:00.
