Diplo and the Geneva Internet Platform will participate at the second annual meeting of the Armenian Internet Governance Forum (ArmIGF). Sorina Teleanu, Digital Policy Senior Researcher at Diplo, and a Curator for the GIP Digital Watch observatory, will deliver a presentation on ‘Capacity development in Internet governance: learning and engagement opportunities’.

The second annual meeting of the Armenian Internet Governance Forum takes place on 5 October 2016, in Yerevan.
Under the overarching theme ‘Internet governance for sustainable development’, the meeting will feature discussions on topics such as: regulation of over-the-top services, social networks as a business tool, personal data protection, cybersecurity, and the IANA stewardship transition.
DiploFoundation’s presentation will be delivered starting 16:50 local time (12:50 UTC), and it will focus on providing an overview of various capacity development opportunities available for those interested in engaging in the Internet governance ecosystem.
The forum is organised by the multistakeholder Internet Governance Council of the Republic of Armenia, with the support of the Ministry of Transport and Communication, and ISOC Armenia.
