May developments
In a new update from Microsoft Teams platform, a series of new features has been announced. One of them is the option of adjusting the brightness and soft focus of the video filter. This might improve the video quality when the lighting is poor. Both filters are now available before, as well as during meetings (To enable these filters: go to device settings).
Another feature is the View Together Mode for Everyone. This mode creates a virtual common space in which participants feel as if they are sitting in a similar room. Presently, the meeting coordinator and moderators can begin the Together Mode for all participants of the meeting (To enable this component, check the Select Together Mode for Everyone choice after you pick a scene).
All gathering members can then consolidate this vivid experience. This option is accessible for Teams desktop clients only.
Zoom added a few new features to its latest client version and upgraded some old ones. At the moment, a new feature added to the standard client that allows a video message to be posted in a chat is not available for the VDI client. The feature has been deactivated and will be reinstated in a future release.
Gesture recognition allows for visual hand gestures, similar to a raised hand, to automatically display a corresponding meeting response. This point presently supports raised hand and thumbs up responses. Gesture recognition option can be enabled by admins.
Kumospace online meeting platform has introduced new features that will make online meetings more productive and creative. From now on, everyone in the room will be able to hear each other no matter how far apart they are, and the walls contain sound so no one can hear you outside.

The knock-knock option allows you to close the door to have a private meeting or if you do not want to be disturbed. Click on the door from the room to open and close it. ‘Knock’ on the door outside to be released inside.
The Whereby online meeting platform introduced the option of tagging people in the room using ‘@mentions’. When you tag a person, they will receive a notification in the chat and on the tab in the browser.
Lifted hand (‘raised hand’ option) is presently accessible to all embedded clients also. This convenient component makes it easier for hosts to oversee video calls of enormous gatherings and keep discussions streaming without a hitch.
Apple introduced a new technology that will enable you to turn your iPhone into a webcam. As webcams become an increasingly important part of our daily lives, Apple introduced the Continuity Camera technology that is syncing your phone and your computer to utilise the power of iPhone cameras. It can be used with many iOS services.
