The Diplomatic Academy (DAC) in Australia is a leading centre for learning and development for Australian Government staff working to promote Australia's international interests. It is a specialized learning facility for government officials. The Academy's training covers geographic literacy, languages, negotiation and advocacy skills, global governance architecture, bilateral and multilateral agreements, foreign policy, security, and trade diplomacy, with a strong focus on the Indo-Pacific region.
The Diplomatic Academy is a critical partner in the Australian Public Service (APS) learning ecosystem, building specialized diplomatic capability across the government. It also shares modern diplomatic tradecraft expertise with foreign ministries and diplomatic training institutions in the Indo-Pacific region and worldwide.
