The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is the government department responsible for the United Kingdom's foreign affairs. It was created in September 2020 through the merger of two former departments: the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), which handled the UK's relationships with other countries and promoted British interests abroad, and the Department for International Development (DFID), which focused on international development and providing aid to poorer countries.

The FCDO manages the UK's diplomatic network, which includes embassies, high commissions, and consulates worldwide. It promotes British interests in areas such as trade, security, and human rights. Additionally, the FCDO assists British citizens living, working, or travelling abroad, helping with such problems as lost passports, emergencies, and arrests.
