The International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) is a global organisation dedicated to the development and promotion of electronic publishing and content consumption.
The IDPF develops, maintains, and promots standards and specifications related to electronic publications. One example in this regard is the EPUB - a distribution and interchange format standard for digital publications and documents based on web standards, which enables the creation and transport of digital books and other types of content as digital publications that are interoperable between disparate EPUB-compliant reading devices and applications.
