EU Kids Online is a multinational research network that seeks to enhance knowledge of European children's online opportunities, risks and safety. It uses multiple methods to map children's and parents' experience of the Internet, in dialogue with national and European policy stakeholders.

The aim of the network is to coordinate and stimulate investigation into the way children use new media, with a particular focus on evidence about the conditions that shape online risk and safety.

Thirty-three European countries are participating in this network, while two non-European countries (Australia and Brazil) are affiliated to the initiative.

EU Kids Online has been funded by the European Commission's Better Internet for Kids programme.
