In April 2010, the second E-Diplomacy Initiative launch was held in Washington, at the AT&T Innovation Center. The participants were welcomed by representatives of the core partners of the E-diplomacy Initiative: Mark Miceli, Maltese Ambassador to the USA; Norbert Baerlocher, Head of Communications & Cultural Affairs at the Swiss Embassy in Washington DC and Jeff Brueggeman; AT&T Vice-president of Public Policy. After the welcome addresses, Dr Jovan Kurbalija delivered a presentation on e-diplomacy, with the remote participation of Amb. Stefano Baldi, from Brussels. The next session of the launch event focused on tele-conferencing. Participants attended a tele-conferencing meeting in the state-of-the-art TelePresence facility at the AT&T Innovation Center.Â
